A shocking crime has shaken Neuchâtel. On Tuesday night, police in Corcelles discovered the bodies of a woman and her two young daughters, aged 10 and three, killed with a kitchen knife. The suspected attacker is the children’s father and the woman’s ex-husband.
The alarm was raised after relatives abroad lost contact with the mother. When officers entered the apartment, they found the children already dead and the man armed with a large knife. He charged at police before being shot and overpowered. The woman’s body was later found in another room, along with the family cat.
The 52-year-old suspect is in hospital under guard and now faces charges of multiple murders and attempted murder.
