Man forged certificates on massive scale

BAG

A worker at a vaccination centre in canton Schaffhausen is suspected of forging certificates on a massive scale.

Police believe the man may have created hundreds of fake certificates – selling them for several hundred francs at a time.

The worker and several assistants have been arrested – three remain in custody.

Investigators believe the man used the details of genuinely vaccinated people, changed the name and printed the document. Then changed the details back to the original.

It’s not sure the level of punishment the man and his colleagues could face. But police warn anyone using a fake document will also face charges.
