Investigations are continuing into the exact circumstances how the young cyclist, 18-year-old Muriel Furrer, died after an horrific accident during the Zurich World Championships.
Muriel lived in Zurich, less than 2km from the crash site.
While the races continued over the weekend, the medal celebrations were downgraded, the flags were at half mast and riders said there was an air of sadness.
No one saw Muriel crash and it’s uncertain how long she laid injured before help was called.
She suffered a head injury and died later in hospital.
