Around 3,000 people marched through Lausanne on Saturday to mark International Women’s Day, responding to a call by the Feminist Strike Vaud collective.
Demonstrators gathered near the cathedral.
Speeches called for greater investment in healthcare, public services and the prevention of sexist and sexual violence, as well as more childcare places.
Organisers said more than three thousand people joined the rally, while city police estimated the crowd at around 1,200.
