Zurich health investigators have given the retail chain Coop the green light for its processes after a dead mouse was found in a ready to eat salad.
The incident made headlines in September when a teenage girl had bought lunch from a shop in Geneva.
At the time, Coop apologised profusely and gave the girl a CHF 1,000 voucher as compensation.
Geneva handed the details over to cantonal inspectors in Zurich as that’s where the salad was packaged.
Zurich authorities say there were no shortcomings at the factory. They say it was a unique and rare case.
