The Geneva Secondary II Teachers’ Union is escalating its protest against new working time directives.
In a statement yesterday, it confirmed that teachers will continue striking against school trips, excursions, and marking.
The union criticizes Education Councillor Anne Hiltpold for failing to respond to its proposals.
Measures include refusing to organize or accompany school trips planned for 2026, and withholding grades from official platforms such as OneDrive or SharePoint, while still giving them directly to students.
The union is demanding recognition of overtime and the repeal of new rules it says increase workloads.
