The number of properties sold in Geneva in the third quarter of this year showed a sharp drop, according to the Cantonal Statistics Office.
Just under 500 changed hands, compared to more than 700 during the same period last year.
Officials don’t have an explanation for the slump, and prices remain robust. The price of a single-family home rose 1.5%.
The office says it can’t draw a conclusion after just one set of figures.
