Geneva police say they are ready for any problems tomorrow when delegates from the Swiss People’s Party meet in the city.
For the last week, graffiti tags have been appearing calling for a demonstration against the party and social media posts say there needs to be an active resistance to the far right.
The Swiss People’s Party - known in French peaking regions as the UDC – will be holding their meeting in Meyrin. Two federal councillors, Guy Parmelin and Albert Rösti, will be present which means there will also be federal police attending.
Demonstrators are planning to gather at the Les Cropettes behind the train station. The worry is the group will descend on the train station when the delegates are due to leave.
