The Lake Parade will be back this summer. Geneva authorities have issued a permit for July 20th.
It seems they were impressed by last year’s event – the first after 6 years.
Last year nearly 40,000 packed the quais.
Finding a date that worked was tricky, according to the organiser, Christian Kupferschmid. It had to be wedged in between the final of the European Football Championship, Paleo and the Zurich Street Parade.
The Parade will follow previous formats, starting at 3pm and then the Lake Sensation with two stages set up around the Baby Plage and the Parc des Eaux-Vives. That will start at 6pm.
