A section of a French autoroute near Geneva is now one of the most expensive in the country after a 30% price hike.
On average, French autoroute tolls are up 2% this year.
But now the section that links Annecy with Geneva has seen an inflation busting price hike.
A previous quirk in pricing meant commuters were saving EUR 1.60 by coming off the road at one point, before immediately re-joining.
The autoroute company decided that was cheating and so harmonized the price to remove the discrepancy.
