Residents in a building in Eaux-Vives are complaining the elevator has been broken for over a month. Many say they have difficulty getting out of the house.
The agency running the building say the lift manufacturer is waiting on a part which is out of stock.
In the meantime, they’ve employed students to help with carrying shopping or residents climbing the stairs.
There are plans to completely change the elevator during a renovation scheduled for 2027.
