Fake Swiss vaccination certificates are being offered on the messaging service Telegram.
But experts say they will be easily spotted if someone tries to use one. That is, even if you ever get one.
A journalist from the 20 Minutes newspaper ordered one as a test. After parting with his money – no certificate arrived.
Even so, the Federal Office of Informatics says it will be detected as soon as the QR code is scanned. The information in the code includes the name of the person who issued the certificate which will be checked with a database.
The message is – don’t fall for it.
