A court has thrown out an appeal by the political party the Geneva Citizen’s Movement regarding an initiative to stop cross border workers.
In November the party launched a popular initiative to limit public sector jobs only to those who live in Geneva.
The text was rejected by the Council of State. The MCG appealed to the courts, but judges backed the Council’s decision – saying the text contravened the free movement agreement with the EU.
