New hearings for Crans Montana fire case

Prosecutors in the Crans-Montana fire case have scheduled four fresh hearings before the end of the year — and could add more

The former Crans-Montana councillor in charge of security between 2017 and 2020, previously head of the local fire service, faces questioning for the first time on 29 September.

Former Chermignon mayor Jean-Claude Savoy returns on 20 October for a third appearance after twice declining to answer.

And the two managers of Le Constellation bar, Jacques and Jessica Moretti, are called back for confrontation hearings on 11 November and 11 December.

17 people are now accused of negligent homicide and arson in a case that has already reshaped the resort.
