The Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang arrived at Zurich airport yesterday – and Switzerland pulled out the diplomatic stops.
He was welcomed at the airport by the President, Viola Amherd. It’s rare the president meets dignitaries at the airport – but the Chinese premier is the most senior government official to visit Switzerland since the president, Xi Jinping visited in 2017.
He will meet the Federal Council today before heading to Davos.
