Geneva is expanding its subsidy program for electric vehicles.
After helping electrify public parking lots, the canton is now targeting private buildings, where most residents live.
Nearly 85 percent of Genevans reside in collective housing, and many are hesitant to buy electric cars due to uncertainty about home charging options.
To address this, the canton is offering new financial aid for the purchase and installation of private charging stations, as well as shared terminals in underground or outdoor parking areas.
The new measures took effect this month.
