Sex education classes in canton Bern will be widened to beyond the simple biological differences and processes.
Following a vote in the cantonal parliament – which was fought against by the right-wing Swiss people’s Party – teachers will be instructed to bring in other aspects, such as sexual preferences and techniques as well as relationship advice.
Many cantonal MPs argued with access to the internet, many kids need more education about sexuality.
But those from the Swiss People’s Party say it’s up to parents to make sure their children are informed and young people can be overwhelmed with the details.
