Swiss Federal Railways are advising everyone to avoid using the Lausanne main train station this weekend as engineering work means only one platform will be open.
This means there will be a highly restricted service through the station.
InterCity services will be running through Lausanne, but delays are possible.
Over the weekend, workers will change 250 signals, points systems and introduce a new computerized control system. It’s the start of a wholesale modernization of the station which will start this summer.
