It’s been revealed there’s another victim of the recent heat wave – Geneva’s aging buses.
Many of the Mercedes buses used by the canton can have as much as a million kilometres on the clocks.
The TPG says the heat raised the temperature of the engine oil and created problems with the cooling systems and the air conditioners.
Around 40 vehicles had to be taken off the road which did have an impact on services.
