Are there heat holidays in Switzerland?

With the high temperatures, do you have the right not to go to school or work if it’s too hot?

No. That’s the short answer.

The slightly longer answer is that pregnant or breast-feeding women can leave work if the temperatures exceed 28 degrees. But for everyone else - there’s no escape

It wasn’t always the case: Back in the eighties, several cantons did have heat laws, but they’ve since been abolished.
