Geneva is embarking on a wholescale renovation of its traffic light system.
It will take 5 years – but the aim is to replace and update all the lights in the canton.
The Cantonal Transport Office says they will be fitted with sensors to allow for better traffic flows.
The first area to be updated will be Rive. During this time, many lights will be switched off while they’re replaced.
