Geneva airport is preparing for a busy summer – and will be opening security earlier.
It’s expecting more than 1.6m travellers next month and the same again in August.
To help with handling the high number, starting on Monday, the security gates will be opening at 4am – an hour earlier than normal.
The airlines are also preparing for the rush – EasyJet have employed 120 new cabin crew and 46 pilots to provide operational resilience.
Eurocontrol, the air traffic control company, says it’s expecting 4% rise in traffic over the summer especially for Spanish and Greek destinations.
