A third worried about economic future

Rising prices are causing concern. A third of the population believe they will be worse off than they were last year.

The main worries are rising health care costs and housing – rents and mortgages.

The survey by the comparison site, Comparis, also suggests women believe they will suffer the most financially. Men are slightly more optimistic.

Households on a lower income – up to CHF 4,000 a month are the most concerned. But also, those earning CHF 8,000 are very worried.

But households on high incomes are more confident about the future.
