The gradual adoption of the four-day week is beginning to come to this country, but so far only small companies are making the change.
In Japan, the electronics giant Panasonic is now on four days, the multinational Unilever is also cutting the working week as well as more and more companies in the United States.
Here, a graphic design company in Aargau is now on a shortened week and a computer company in Solothurn says its four-day week will be made permanent after a trial.
In all cases, workers continue to receive a full-time salary.
Bosses say workers are happier and more productive, although it does make the working day a bit more intense.
