In Zurich, a tram driver has been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs after an accident that left a young pedestrian critically injured.
According to the Tages-Anzeiger newspaper, the 32-year-old employee had a THC level three times the legal limit when he struck a 21-year-old woman on Badenerstrasse in January.
She survived but suffered life-threatening injuries.
The driver has since been sacked. He received a suspended fine of CHF 2,000, along with additional penalties and court costs.
