The city of Zurich was brought to standstill on Saturday afternoon as two unauthorized demonstrations clashed.
On one side neo-Nazis marched – but they were confronted by left-wing protestors.
Both sides started to throw missiles at police vehicles.
Water cannon, tear gas and rubber bullets were used to try to break up the crowds. But around a thousand demonstrators, shouting ‘Züri nazifrei’, converged on the main train station.
Police allowed the crowd to slowly disperse during the afternoon.
