Zurich fans caused CHF 100,000 of damage

Stade de Genève

Zurich football fans caused CHF 100,000 worth of damage to the Stade de Genève during a match on April 6th.

The amount is ‘exceptional’ according to the stadium managers.

The FC Zurich fans damaged 82 seats, destroyed a toilet block, broke video cameras, windows, exit doors and two large gates.

Servette Football Club has launched an action against the security company that had been charged with keeping fans under control.

After the violence a group of cantons has decided to bring in tickets that have the name of the fan on them to allow for better identification.
