Work starts today around the Quai du Mont-Blanc, the Brunswick Monument and the Beau Rivage Hotel which will lead to road closures and likely congestion. The works will last a year.
The nearby parks will be renovated, new trees planted and new cycle lanes built.
The city says it know it will be disruptive and thanks the public and local residents for their understanding.
