Work from home until April - at least

While there are hopes that life will become a bit more normal from March 22nd, it seems likely the obligation to work from home will stay until at least April.

According to reports in the NZZ newspaper – the government want to delay the return to work for a bit longer.

Surveys suggest we’re getting fed up with home working, and people are looking forward to getting back into the office.

Federal statistics show 44% of workers spent at least some of the week at home this year so far. But the lack of social contact is draining according to some.

A quarter of people say they want homeworking to take up less than half of their worktime. A Credit Suisse survey suggests only a third of small and medium sized businesses will authorize a little more homeworking time after the pandemic.
