There are reports of thousands of people using fake vaccine certificates or negative test results to get around restrictions – but one woman from canton Aargau has been caught out for using a fake positive test certificate.
The 23-year-old was on vacation in Kosovo last summer – but she wanted to extend her stay. So, for EUR 50 she bought a fake document showing she was infected.
She sent the paperwork to her boss who then asked for a PCR test to check. She simply got a fake one.
But the sharp-eyed boss spotted discrepancies in the documents and contacted the testing company, which confirmed they never issued them.
A court has fined her CHF 1,500.
