We're more loyal to our phone company

We’re switching mobile phone companies less often - a change after years of intense competition.

Following record churn in 2023 and 2024, the market has stabilized. A new survey by bonus.ch shows customer loyalty is rising again, with 54 percent staying with the same operator for more than five years.

Even younger users are sticking around. Only 30 percent of under-30s have changed provider since the start of the year, down sharply from previous years.

Price is the main reason for changing - nearly half of customers now pay under CHF 40 a month, and satisfaction levels are at record highs.

But a fresh wave of switching may start as Swisscom raises its prices today. Commentators point out that, under the law, this will allow those tied to a contract to cancel it and look for a better deal.
