Police in Basel are warning public transport users that they know of at least one ticket machine which had been rigged by scammers to collect credit cards.
The public transport companies point out that their machines are not designed to confiscate cards.
They urge anyone who has their card swallowed by a ticket machine to immediately alert the police.
