The personal details of 38,000 Vaud pupils and 3,500 teachers have been copied from a school support platform — and the canton suspects a pupil was behind the attack
Names, email addresses and the content of IT support requests were taken; grades and school records were not.
The platform was taken offline last week, and a criminal complaint will be filed.
The canton is urging staff and families to watch for phishing emails pretending to come from the school — the main risk now that names and school addresses are in the wrong hands.
The motive remains unclear.
