On Friday, queues heading south reached 21 km - meaning a wait of more than 2 hours at time - the same was true in the opposite direction yesterday afternoon.
The situation worsened for a while as the tunnel had to be closed due to a broken down vehicle.
There were significant queues heading north as late as 10pm last night - with waits of more than an hour,
But on the whole, local police say the situation was calm and say they’re satisfied with the traffic measures they had in place.
