US voting deadline approaching

Americans living in Switzerland have less than a month to vote in the US midterms on 3 November

All 435 seats in the House and about a third of the Senate are up for grabs — a vote widely seen as a verdict on President Trump's second term.

US citizens over 18 can cast ballots in the state where they last lived, using the Federal Post Card Application, but each state sets its own registration and ballot-request deadlines, and some are only days away.

An emergency backup ballot is available via the Federal Voting Assistance Program if the official one doesn't arrive in time.
