Unions claim Uber not following ruling

Unions are complaining the ride hailing firm Uber is not keeping to an agreement it made with canton Geneva to treat its drivers as employees.

The firm had to stop operating for a while after a court ruling ordered the company to pay the drivers social security contributions.

To comply with the rules, Uber set up a new company which would employ the drivers. Unions claim the new company is proving to be just the same.

Uber says the drivers have signed up to the terms and conditions willingly.
