Ukrainians seek refuge in Switzerland

So far 150 Ukrainians have reported to asylum centres in Switzerland – and the State Secretariat for Migration says the trend is increasing.

But it's not known how many Ukrainians may be in the country due to the war as they can freely enter anyway. Many may have sought shelter with friends or even volunteers. 

So far over 6 and a half thousand households have registered on the Campax donation platform saying they would be willing to make room for Ukrainian refugees. 

The Justice Minister, Karin Keller-Sutter, has received an open letter signed by 21,000 demanding Ukrainians fleeing the war are given protection
