Thousands gathered in Bern on Saturday to hear a speech from the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian president – speaking on a live video link - was introduced by his Swiss counterpart, Ignazio Cassis.

Zelenskyy, speaking in perfect German, told the crowd his dream was to live like the Swiss with high standards of living and in freedom. But he did call on Swiss banks to freeze the money being held by Russian oligarchs. He says the Ukrainian fight is a fight against evil .

He also singled out the Swiss food giant Nestlé for refusing to pull out of Russia.

Cassis told Zelenskyy he was not fighting alone and says everyone is impressed by the Ukrainian resistance.
