Two arrested in France after Geneva attack

French police have arrested two men just outside Paris suspected of being involved in a robbery and kidnapping in Geneva over the weekend.

An 18-year-old was attacked on Saturday night in Geneva by three men. They forced him to get in their car, stole his phone and bank card and kept him there while they withdrew cash from his account.

The victim was held for an hour.

The attackers fled to France – but police across the border, working closely with Geneva officers, tracked down the trio – mainly by tracking the stolen phone.
French police arrested 2 men on Sunday night near Paris. The third attacker is still on the run.

They say they found stolen property in the car, including the young man’s phone.
