TPG passengers back to pre-pandemic levels

The number of people using public transport in Geneva is now back to the levels seen before the pandemic.

The latest figures from the TPG show for the first time since 2019, the symbolic 200 million trips were taken on the network.

Last year there were 216 million rides – the year before it was 197 million. But in 2019 222 million used the service.

The increased passenger numbers also mean higher revenue – up at CHF 152m last year.

The company says the Léman Pass is highly successful as is the extension of line 15 to Plan-les-Ouates.
