Switzerland is stepping up efforts to attract Canadian tourists, who are traveling less to the United States.
Switzerland Tourism recently hosted a mock speed dating event for Canadian and Swiss tourism professionals aboard the GoldenPass train from Interlaken to Montreux.
Canadians already account for over 60,000 overnight stays in Geneva, and their hotel nights across Switzerland have risen 44% in the past decade.
Officials see them as key to developing four-season tourism and boosting visits in the low season.
