The forest fires in canton Ticino continue to burn and Italian firefighters are now helping.
Strong gusts of wind are fanning the flames on the top of the Monte Gambarogno above Lake Maggiore.
The fire is threatening the village of Indemini and a high-power electricity line that runs from Ticino to Italy. The power has already been cut off.
Six helicopters have been dropping water and there are discussions for an Italian air tanker to be used in Switzerland to help fight the fire.
