Thousands of pro-Palestinian protestors demonstrated in Geneva on Saturday. Police estimate more than 6,000 took to the streets, marching between Place Neuve and Jonction.
Organisers of the march thanked Geneva for allowing the demonstration, noting many authorities in other cantons have banned them.
Chanting the slogan ‘Israel, Palestine is not for you’ the protestors passed the Synagogue near the Place du Cirque without incident.
Marchers were asked to avoid discrimination with their chants and banners – instructions that were broadly followed.
The police say the march was peaceful.
