Parliament is discussing how to get more car charging points in apartment building car parks.
It’s believed by many that lack of home charging is holding back EV vehicle purchases in the country. Electric car sales fell by one percent last year to 19% and Switzerland is lagging in many other European countries.
One option being discussed is compelling property owners to install car charging equipment if asked by the tenant to do so and making the cost of installation, tax deductible. The final decision is likely in September.
