Switzerland will be rejoining several EU programmes following an agreement with Brussels.
Switzerland was suspended from the student exchange programme Erasmus and the scientific partnership Horizon after a vote in 2014, which demanded the government limit immigration. That went against the EU’s Freedom of Movement rules.
The agreement also covers the atomic energy group, Euratom, the experimental fusion reactor ITAR, and Digital Europe and EU4Health.
In return, this country will be contributing to the EU.
Full membership of the organisations will happen at the beginning of next year.
