The Swiss ski resort of Samnaun is going to have to follow rules set by Austria as the resort straddles the border.
Austria is enforcing the 2G rule – that means only those who are vaccinated or recovered will be able to ski – having a negative test is not sufficient.
The director of the local mountain railway, Mario Jenal, told the Blick newspaper that the decision is a huge frustration – but visitors need to have uniform rules.
It does mean Samnaun will have the strictest regulations in the country.
But the area, which includes Ischgl in Austria, is thought to be one the first super spreader events at the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The rules come into force on the 25th November.
