Students accuse university of censorship

Students at the University of Geneva are pushing back against university management.

It denounced a diary published by the Student Union which included the slogan ‘from the river to the sea’ and highlighted dates such as the 55th anniversary of the triple hi-jacking of three airliners by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

It’s also been criticised by the Intercommunity Coordination against Anti-Semitism.

The university is threatening to withdraw financial support and recognition for the Union.

Students say this is censorship.

200 gathered outside the Uni Mail building near Plainpalais – promising the fight will not stop there.
