Strike action hits French transport

There’s some disruption with transport links to France today as workers take strike action to fight against plans by the French government to reform the pension system.

The rail operator Lyria says all TGVs to and from Geneva to Paris will be cancelled today – that’s 16 trains.

The same is true for services from Zurich and Basel to Paris.

There will also be some cancellations on the Léman Express and other local cross border services.

In the air, there will be some disruption with flights to France, especially Paris Orly. But not all flights are affected.

Cross border Geneva trams are running normally.
