The Swiss team's manager, Murat Yakin has called Breel Embolo's red card 'unacceptable', as anger builds over the refereeing of Switzerland's World Cup quarter-final loss to Argentina.
The referee initially booked Argentina's Leandro Paredes for a foul, but VAR overturned the call, judged Embolo had simulated, and sent off the striker — who was already on a yellow.
Yakin says the new VAR rule allowing that reversal 'should not exist' at a World Cup quarter-final.
He was backed by several Swiss players. They say there were double standards after several Argentine dives went unpunished.
