The Zurich Film Festival opens on September 25 with a touch of Hollywood glamour.

American actress and producer Dakota Johnson will present her new comedy Splitsville at the festival’s Opening Night, alongside director and co-star Michael Angelo Covino. Johnson, who also produced the film, will be honored with the Golden Eye Award for her career achievements.

The daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, and granddaughter of Tippi Hedren, Dakota Johnson rose to global fame with Fifty Shades of Grey and has since moved seamlessly between arthouse and blockbuster cinema. At ZFF, she’ll also share insights into her craft in a public conversation.

A star-studded start for Zurich’s biggest film event.
